What You’ll Do & How You’ll Make an Impact
- Provide technical support to the GIS Services team, other departments, and to clients
- Create and maintain client project maps using ArcGIS 10.x & Pro
- Perform high level GIS analysis, produce cartographic maps, and client deliverables
- Follow established data models, standards, and internal workflows
- Acquire, analyse, and disseminate geographic data to determine efficiencies, data customizations, and utilize tools to enhance database scope and functionality
- Incorporate client supplied data into internal SDE
- Assess corporate project needs and deliverables to determine efficiencies and enhance project design
- Create and maintain graphical user interfaces, customizations, and tools using ArcGIS programming scripts (Python) to enhance application functionality
- Work with the ArcGIS Enterprise environment (including ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE, and SQL Server Database, Portal, AGOL, and Field Collector)
- Process and integrate field data to the database
- Design and create geodatabases, including adding author data, and importing departmental data into the spatial database
- Maintain integrity of datasets, including accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Perform work in accordance with the provisions of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and all other corporate/departmental policies and procedures
What We’re Looking For
- 2 to 5 years of progressive GIS experience
- Working experience with the entire ArcGIS Software Suite; including ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro
- Direct experience working with GIS data, data management and workflow best practices
- Strong understanding of cartographic principles and the ability to create professional-grade maps with the use of ArcMap & ArcGIS Pro
- Strong adherence to existing corporate data standards, symbology, and internal processes
- Experience writing complex SQL queries
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills, collaborative decision-making, and analytical skills
- Ability to provide excellent service to internal and external stakeholders by focusing efforts on discovering and meeting their needs
- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both verbally and in writing, including effective presentation skills

- Experience interacting with SDE & SQL Server databases considered an asset

What You’ll Do & How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop and execute targeted sales strategies aimed to achieve sales targets including mapping out new business opportunities, markets, and customers through various sales channels
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and offer excellent customer service
- Negotiate contracts and close deals
- Collaborate on Marketing initiatives to develop and execute campaigns that drive software sales
- Develop and maintain a sales pipeline that is at least 3 times the sales target for each quarter

- 5 years of experience selling Software as a Service (SAAS) and building strategic business partnerships with domestic customers
- Strong consultative sales approach with ability to influence decision makers through thought-leadership and demonstrated business acumen
- Extensive experience developing client proposals
- Ability to maintain a high level of initiative and self-motivation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively in multiple formats
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, and negotiating skills
- Extensive knowledge in MS Excel; proficient in other MS Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook

We’re currently looking for a Trainer, Emergency Response to join our External Training team. These subject matter experts work to educate and prepare our clients for the possibility of an emergency. The nationally recognized education and training H2Safety provides increases our clients’ awareness of hazards and enhances their confidence and preparedness in managing emergency situations.
What You’ll Do & How You’ll Make an Impact
- Liaise with clients, H2Safety departments, and the External Training team to identify and assess training requirements and objectives
- Develop quality training exercises that consistently meet and comply with relevant stakeholders’ (i.e., clients, internal departments, and regulatory agencies) requirements, objectives, and standards
- Coordinate with various regulatory and government agencies on regulated exercises
- Work to become an emergency response subject matter expert; accurately and professionally respond to inquiries related to training curriculum, course content, regulatory requirements, and software
- Effectively plan, develop, and deliver emergency response-based training exercises (virtual and in-person) including, but not limited to:
- Emergency Response Plan (ERP) orientation and exercises, roles and responsibilities, and public safety actions
- Tabletop & Full Mobilization exercises to meet Alberta Energy Regulator (AER), British Columbia Oil and Gas Commission (OGC), Ministry of Energy and Resources (MER), Canada Energy Regulator (CER), and Environment Canada requirements
- H2Safety’s suite of emergency response software products
- Prepare a regulatory compliant summary for each exercise and submit it to the client and applicable regulatory agencies, as required
- Assist in the design, development, and review of training curriculums, manuals, job aids, and reference sheets; make recommendations for improvements, as needed
- Maintain detailed training records for attendance, course completion, skill level attainments, progress, and status
- Collaborate with relevant H2Safety departments and clients on course effectiveness and quality
- Remain up to date on the latest training techniques, delivery methods, and trends
- Maintain knowledge of new and updated legislation, regulations, and compliance standards
- Gain a thorough understanding of H2Safety services and our clients’ needs
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (ideally with a focus in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), or Training and Development); a relevant diploma and experience will also be considered
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with, or willingness to learn, online training design and web delivery tools
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
- Experience working independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Ability to build rapport and trust with stakeholders at numerous levels and with various communication styles
