Emergency Assessment Matrix (LOE)

Helping you classify an incident in the Oil and Gas sectors in Alberta.

The Emergency Assessment Matrix is based on the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) Directive 071 criteria for classifying an incident in the Oil and Gas sectors of Alberta. The user will be guided through a series of questions pertaining to the emergency situation. The answers provided will be used in the AER matrix to determine the level of emergency. Whether they are in an Alert Level, Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3 emergency, users will be given clear instructions on the response measures as dictated by the AER, which ensure that the situation is dealt with in a timely and efficient manner to ensure the safety of the public.
