Training Specialist

Under the guidance and supervision of the Vice President, Operations, the Training Specialist ensures effective planning, implementation, and execution of training services for H₂Safety. The Training Specialist will be part of the operations team and will be responsible for the H₂Safety suite of training products, ranging from ICS training, ERP orientations, exercises and a variety of other items.

THE ROLE:

• Deliver H2Safety’s existing ERP training products, including, but not limited to ERP orientations and exercises.
• Deliver full suite of Incident Command System Training (ICS).
• Training includes development of curriculums, manuals, job aids and reference sheets.
• Maintain detailed training records and report on progress and status.
• Formulate new training products that are aligned with H₂Safety’s vision.
• Perform training for internal clients when necessary.
• Travel will be required out of Calgary at client locations all over Western Canada and potentially overseas.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS ROLE:

• Proven track record in training or educational role (3+ years).  Certificate, diploma, or a degree in training, or education is a definite asset.
• ICS experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively at a professional level, including reading, writing and presentation skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to manage time efficiently and work independently with minimal supervision.
• An understanding of emergency response plans is an asset but not a requirement.
