Project Manager  

Hours: Minimum but not limited to 40 hours / week.

Education: University Degree, Project Management Certificate, or equivalent experience.

Physical Requirements: Sitting for extended periods. Packaged boxes may reach 50 lbs.

Skills / Experience Required: In order to be successful, a Project Manager at H2Safety Services must have excellent time management and multi-tasking skills as well as strong problem solving and decision making skills. A new Project Manager that has no previous experience in this industry must be willing to devote the extra time to learning the regulations that define what we do at H2Safety; on the job training will not be sufficient. Previous management experience is required. A financial and / or business background is a definite asset.

Software Programs: Office (Access, Outlook, Excel, Word), Adobe (Acrobat), Other (ArcGIS, WinRAR, WinZip)

Job Summary: A Project Manager (PM) is responsible for handling a client's project from its beginning, through its performance, to its closure. A Project Manager is expected to consistently provide high quality service to clients and produce high quality Emergency Response Plans (ERPs) and associated products, in the time frames established, and with available resources. Some of the responsibilities of a Project Manager include:

  • Meeting with clients to gather all pertinent information and determine how our company can meet their needs.
  • Creating comprehensive project plans taking into consideration any time constraints, the history of the project, the applicable regulatory requirements, the resources available, and any potential pitfalls.
  • Providing the client with a detailed scope of work and quote.
  • Organizing and conducting internal project meetings with project teams.
  • Assigning tasks to and monitoring the work of personnel within project teams.
  • Coordinating the activities of and ensuring communication between the many individuals in the different H2Safety Departments.
  • Communicating project highlights to the rest of the management team.
  • Providing regular status updates to clients.
  • Dealing with any staff, client, or resident concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Preparing for, attending, and completing action items from weekly and other staff meetings.
  • Developing staff by evaluating strengths and weaknesses, conducting quarterly reviews, and assisting them with putting together individual Personal Development Plans (PDP).
  • Developing new or improving upon existing company tools and processes.
  • Planning staff events and meetings.
  • Representing H2Safety Services at seminars and other industry related events.
